Searching for kitchen showrooms is usually the first thing people do when a new kitchen starts feeling real. It seems like the obvious first step: go and stand in some kitchens, get a feel for what you like. Showrooms have real value, but they also have a built in limitation that catches a lot of people, and it is worth understanding both before you spend your Saturdays driving around Dublin.

What a showroom is genuinely good for

Touching materials. A photo cannot tell you how a matt painted door feels against a gloss one, how a stone worktop reads next to laminate, or how a soft close drawer sounds. If you have never stood in front of these choices before, an hour in any showroom is honest education, and the people working there generally know their products well.

What a showroom cannot show you

Your kitchen. Every display you stand in was designed for a bright, open hall with high ceilings and no radiators, boilers, or awkward corners. It is that kitchen, in that space, with that lighting. The question you actually need answered is different: what will this look like in my room, with my window, my ceiling height and my walls that are not quite straight? No showroom can answer that, because your room is not in the building.

There is a second quiet problem. A showroom visit is a sales environment, and the kitchens on display are naturally the ones the showroom wants to sell. What you like in the hall and what suits your house are not always the same thing.

The other way around: bring the design to the room

We work in the opposite direction. Instead of you going to the kitchen, the design comes to yours. • If you want to feel materials and finishes in person, visit a showroom early, with no intention of buying anything that day.
• Note what you liked: door styles, colours, worktop materials. Photos on your phone are enough.
• Then get your own room measured and designed in 3D, and see those choices in your actual kitchen before deciding anything.

Every kitchen we supply is premium and made to the highest spec: made to measure on a melamine faced 18mm plywood carcass, not chipboard, and fitted by our own team. It is priced to that standard.
